Looking for a last-minute, easy neighbor gift? And you don’t want to break the bank?
If your neighborhood is anything like mine, it’s a tradition to exchange small gifts to show your love and appreciation for each other. I’m always on the hunt for new, easy neighbor gift ideas, so I thought I’d quickly share one of the easiest and cheapest neighbor gifts I ever gave out.
Maybe a few more busy moms can get some mileage out of it.
Every year our local grocery stores have caselot sales, where you can purchase grocery items by the case for a terrific price. Is that just a Utah thing? Or do the rest of you all have caselot sales, too?
Anyway, every year at the caselot sales I buy a couple of cases of pasta for only 50 cents a bag! I try to purchase enough to last us a year, or until the next caselot sale, so that I never have to pay full-price for pasta. You learn all the frugal tips when you have eight kids with huge appetites!
One year, I bought two extra cases of pasta (20 bags per case) and printed off some cute gift tags that said, “We hope your holidays are filled with endless ‘Pasta’bilities!” It took my kids and me one episode of our favorite show to have all of our neighbor gifts ready to deliver.
Now that is my kind of neighbor gift!
I made you some cute ‘Pastabilities’ tags you can print out and use for your own neighbor gifts. They’ll print on a regular 8.5″ x 11″ page of paper or cardstock, 8 tags per page. You’ll want to set your printer margins to none. It should only take you a few minutes to cut them apart, tape them to your pasta bags and add a bow. Easy, peasy!
Your neighbor gifts are done, lickety-split! They’ll feel loved and appreciated, and you can cross another thing off of your neverending Christmas to-do list.
